Bee
Livin' the dream!Bee was born into a musical family being the oldest child of “Chet & Ginny Benson,” founders of the Great Northern Opry. Bee would often perform at their country concerts and various events around Iron County. As a teenager she had the privilege of being the emcee for a Herman’s Hermit’s concert. In 1981 she embarked on a full time music career. Her bands traveled extensively across the United States entertaining in a variety of venues. She especially enjoyed being in the opening act and backup band for the World-Famous Coasters as they traveled the “Midwest” in the late 1980’s. Eventually returning home to Iron County she and her late husband Bobby opened Dr. Beat Recording Studio and recorded many local and regional artists as well as co-founding the evangelical outreach music ministry group “A Step In the Faith” which traveled regionally. With a music career that spans over 38 years, Bee loves to front the group, while singing lead and backup. She might step over to the keyboards or strap on the bass. She enjoys songwriting and her philosophy is “you’re never too old to start something new!” “The love of playing music and performing runs through my veins!” “I’m privileged to be a part of the One Voice UP journey!”That's Bee - short for Honey BeeSteve Mariucci Fund Raiser - Pine Grove Country ClubBee & Tim Nichols (Nashville Singer Songwriter), before he got famous! On Tour with the World Famous Coasters
